Our doctors are qualified to perform Child Health Services, Minor Surgery Procedures and to provide antenatal, postnatal and contraceptive care and advice.
The nurse practitioner is available at all times during the week for the following services: dressings, removal of sutures, ear syringing, cervical smears, HRT, pill checks, immunisations and holiday vaccinations. Please telephone to make an appointment.
The nurse practitioner is also available for minor ailments and can see patients instead of a doctor and prescribe certain medication.
The ANP is available during the week for the following services: Diabetes, Dressings, Removal of sutures, Ear syringing, Cervical smears, HRT, Pill checks, Immunisations and Holiday vaccinations. Please telephone to make an appointment.
The practice nurse is available during the week, evenings and weekends for the following services: Asthma, COPD, Dressings, Removal of sutures, Ear syringing, Cervical smears, HRT, Pill checks, Immunisations and Holiday vaccinations. Please telephone to make an appointment.
Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
Melissa also runs the INR clinic for our practices and the surrounding practices, complete Health Checks, ECG's, B12 and some Vaccinations.
Should you have any queries, constructive comments, criticisms or complaints about the service provided by the practice, the practice manager would be pleased to receive your letters or see you personally by appointment. Alternatively, pick up a complaints leaflet from the reception desk.
Our receptionists are the front line of our service. They are trained to deal with your queries and difficulties. They are bound by the same rules of confidentiality as the rest of the healthcare team.
The secretaries type all the correspondence and details with hospital referrals. They also liaise with the patients, attached staff, Social Services and other organisations.
Physiotherapy - appointments are made through the surgery or self- referral
Midwife - our midwife is available on Wednesday mornings by appointment.
District Nurses - our district nurses are available at the surgery by appointment and also provide care for people at home. Your doctor will arrange a visit, where appropriate.
